About Friendly Neighborhood

Friendly Neighborhood is a place to find small, doable good deeds happening around you - and to share the ones you do yourself.

The idea

Helping your neighbors usually fails on the first step: not knowing what needs doing. So we show a feed of good deeds for your city. Most take five to thirty minutes, cost little or nothing, and need no organizing - watering a tree, carrying someone's bags, picking up litter on your usual walk.

How it works

• Set your city, and the feed fills with deeds near you.
• Join one, do it, then share a photo and a few words about how it went.
• Post your own deed when you spot something your neighborhood needs.
• Earn badges as your contributions add up.

Where the deeds come from

Some are posted by neighbors. Others are suggested automatically for your area when the feed runs thin, so there is always somewhere to start.
